What a girl wants...

Perhaps a more suitable title would be What a Girl Needs.

Tonight my friend, Jess, and I went to see:

SJP and her friends were looking faboosh in their spicy outfits as they trekked through Abu Dhabi. One of my favorite outfits was this one. It was so simple. A white dress, statement necklace and gold accessories. I think the best part of the outfit was on Carrie's feet:

the gold sequined sparkly Loubies. I DIE.

And speaking of things that sparkle, my most favoritestest accessory in the whole movie was this:

A black, 5 carat, diamond ring.

I die.

Now I'm going to interrupt my post to tell you a little story that has a point:

During my college years, I was watching a special on TLC, which was hosted by Stacey London of TLC's What Not to Wear. In it she spoke of the beauty of a black diamond. Instantly, I was hooked and thought...OMG. Engagement ring!!!

And guess what showed up on Sex in the City 2??? That's right. THE black diamond.

Now... don't be getting any ideas because (a) I am not your typical gal. (I'm sure I made that clear with a BLACK engagement ring, right?) (b) I'm not the girl who has her wedding planned before she's engaged. (c) I'm not the girl who searches for engagement rings without even a boyfriend in sight. (d) I'm not getting married for a loong time and (e) I'm just not that traditional girl.

But this crazy gal can dream, right? Owning this ring would be super. And actually, it doesn't need to be on the ring finger, anyway. It's so beautiful, I'd die to wear it on any finger.

So, thank you, Carrie Bradshaw, for bringing back the black diamond.
