I have these Bandz Banned.

Read this.

This:
is the latest craze among young students in America.

As a kid, these are awesome colored rubber bands in the shape of animals, shapes, or letters. Just stretch, and viola! They turn into bracelets. Genius.

As a teacher, these are the worst possible classroom distraction ever invented in the history of mankind. Trading, stealing, crying, breaking, not paying attention to the teacher. (Who wouldn't want to pay attention to me? I'm so captivating.) Teachers find themselves collecting and wearing them throughout the day and wind up looking just as ridiculous as the students.

As of two weeks ago, I banned them from my class. They were an absolute distraction. So I told my cherubs, "Silly bands..be gone!" And they have listened. Most likely since I promised I would keep them forever.

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one with the problem and that entire schools are now banning these.

And by the way, whoever invented these is either a genius or really stooopid. I can't decide.

Oh, but Julia, they look really cute :)) I'm sorry I don't want to get on your nerves! :) Just be patients with the students :) Have a great weekend!

I take all silly bandz that are being played with too. But, crazy mom that I am I buy them for my own children. I think Andrew and Addie have about 200+ and I just bought 3 packages of 24 today...what was I thinking.
