My reasons for lack of blogging:
1. I was teaching summer school to 13 kindergarten students for 6 weeks.
2. At the same time, I took a grad class that was 3 hours long every night for 3 weeks.
3. I took another grad class (at the same time as the other class...don't ask me why.)
4. In my spare time, I was in the painful process of moving from one house to another.
5. Here and there, I tried to fit in some good meals and time with the LG.
And for the first time this summer, I feel like I can breathe. Whoever said that teachers "have it easy" is clearly bathing in stupidity. A few more weeks and summer will be over. I vow never to do this to myself again. Next summer I'd prefer to do some traveling. I will take one grad class at a time. And possibly give up on summer school.
As for some updates...
- This weekend was my birthday weekend. Woot-woot! I just turned the big "2-6." I have one "julia-created" phrase running through my brain at the moment. It's "Just 4 more years until 30!" and it freaks me out. Anywhoo, the LG bought me a Blackberry Storm for the big day. I never hated any cell phone that I had. But I never had one that was as great as the Storm. With it I can go on pandora! surf the web! read my emails! play games! download apps! It's really a slick phone- very similar to the iphone, but different. I LOVE IT. The LG also took me to breakfast at my new favorite place to eat... The Tomcat, (more on that later) and then we headed to the beach for some fun in the sun. It was a relaxing and enjoyable weekend, except for the fact that I have that phrase still running through my brain. And really, the LG has really outdone himself again. ::sigh::
-Found a new place to eat, courtesy of my friend Missy. (check out her blog from my fave blog list) The Tomcat, ladies and gentleman, is a new dining facility located in Sinking Spring, PA. It is chic and has a great vibe. Jazzy music plays from the ipod stereo, while fresh flowers brighten each black and red table. The food? Just delish. My two favorites? The FRESH flaked crab on top of a fried egg, on top of hashbrowns, drizzled with a creamy garlicky sauce. AND then, for dessert (because you always must have dessert after breakfast) the Bourbon Street Crepe. A delectable crepe filled with pecans, bananas, fresh whip and brown sugah. To DIE for. Really.
-I'm all moved in and I love this house! Pics will be up shortly.
-Have had an interesting conversation with my new neighbors. (That one, I'll save for another time.)
I'm really glad to be blogging again. I feel better after releasing some thoughts into cyberspace. And if you're still reading this...thanks for sticking around! :)
