Things I learned on this vacation

1. Don't drive all night long to get to your destination.  You wind up in a delirious state for the rest of the day.

2. Having kids is something that I will do many many many years from now. And I am not sure if I should have used the plural on that word: kids. I meant: Having a one single kid...

3. Vacationing with 15 people = chaos, people not being able to make up their minds, and crazy fun times

4. I may not excel at sports, but I could be an Olympic Gold Medalist in fussball and ping-pong.

5. History teachers have deceived me to believe that the "Lost Colony" of Roanoke Island was really a mystery when in fact, the colonists decided to move and live amongst the Croatoan Indians. WTF.

6.  How to make a really good meal with meat and cornmeal mush for the LG.

7. 2 driving days + 3 vacay days does NOT = a real vacation

8. I am terrified of jumping off of a boat and into the ocean (when I cannot see the bottom) but I have no fear when it comes to things like sky-diving.

9.  The LG enjoys dunking me in the water, watching me gasp for air, and then apologizing, only to repeat the pattern.

10. I need another vacation.

bwaah! When you told you were going to OB it reminded me of our trip there a few years ago. Tim and I cursed the day we decided to drive 8 hours to go to the beach (particularly when CM is so freaking cute and only 3 hours away) :)

#6 Virginia Dare??? WTF is right! I feel deceived!
