So, I am gracing you with 3 posts today. Consider yourself lucky.
Anywhoo, as my post title reads....I NEED YOUR HELP. ANd fast!
I have a little neighborly situation. (because when do I not??) And I'm starting to think that it's me who is the problem. Last time it was the crazy CIA neighbors who refused to let me put up a fence for privacy. Remember?
Now, in my new home, I have a fence. A tall, white one. I can't see my neighbors, haven't met them, and hate to say it, I'm a little curious about them. This time, they're MIA. Well, THEY are but not...dun..dun..dunnnnnn.....
their cats.

I have had many a run in with a cat or two or three or four or five on my short walk from my parking space to my front door. Or my front door to my parking space.
Some have looked me in the eye as they dart under my feet into the woods. Some come out from under the LG's car. A few times, I have stepped in their urine and smelled up the house with my expensive and now, nasty shoes. They are not scared. Oh, noo...I have seen them sitting on top of the wheels of the LG's van, looking at me evil eyed, as if I am invading their space.
One time, I found all of the cars in our lot to be urinated on, the same side, same wheel, the cats having marking their territory. Only, strangely enough, the cars of their MIA owners had no urine.
Dirty pawprints are ever-present on my car, forcing me to keep it cleaner than ever. And worst of all, the LG has stepped in a little bit of #2 on his way to work.

And, is it terrible for me to say this...I can't stand the urine smell permeating around my home and car?
And my nightmare is that these cats will pee on my cloth-top, which will soak in the lovely, fresh scent of cat urine.
I don't know what to do!
Do I call animal control? Do I talk with the neighbors? (I haven't even met them yet!) And I soooo doubt that they will understand; they have at least 5-6 cats, for pete's sake! And how do you really control the behavior of outdoor cats anyway?
Help. Me. I need your advice.

My dearest Julia...I am thinking this situation would not be so bad if you weren't such a CAT HATER!! :)
I would talk to the neighbors before you call animal control... just explain your situation and if nothing is done, then call animal control! GOOD LUCK!
I agree with (walking on sunshine). First since you are the new one on the block, ask the neighbors if the cats belong to them and if they do, explain what is happening at your place and if they could keep them home. I kind of think these are wild cats, but maybe not since they seem to be tame..If you get no response, then you have no choice but to call animal control, because the urine and feces will only get worse and anyone will tell you that nothing is worse then cat urine. I love animals Julia, but there should be some control. Let me know what happens, wishing you Luck...
PS......Someone might just have dropped these cats off for someone else to feed..
