"OMG! You have to call me back! I've got some juicy stuff to tell you!"
So, I call her.
"Guess what I decided to do??!!" she yells into the phone.
"I have no idea. TELL ME!"
"I decided to join FACEBOOK!"
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Michelle has joined the ranks of other faithful Facebook users.
"But Michelle, you're never on Myspace, why would you join Facebook?"
"Well, I just wanted to and it's sooo addicting. I was on it all night."
"It can't be better than Myspace."
"Ohhh, it is! You have to join and you can be my friend. I have to go. Do it before I call you back again this evening." hangs up phone.
Fast forward one minute (That's right- I don't waste any time) and I am a new Facebook user.
Immediately I am sucked into this crazy way of communicating with old/current/new friends. The whole time that I thought Myspace was the rage, I didn't realize how awesome my life could have been, had I been a Facebook user. I don't know why I'm loving this Facebook thing, but only after an hour of being a member, I can already see it starting to take over my life.
Maybe it's the ease of uploading pics.
Maybe it's getting to write on someone's wall, instead of leaving a regular comment.
Maybe it's finding out that more of my friends are on Facebook.
Maybe it's being able to see which friends you have in common with your friends.
Whatever it is, it's now bookmarked on my browser. And it's being checked for messages regularly.
Move over Myspace, and welcome to my life, Facebook! ;)
