Romanian Wedding

This past weekend, I went to my first Romanian wedding.  I cannot even begin to blog about the wonders of the authentic food, from appetizers to dessert.  We had some great salads prior to the actual dinner, so when dinner was finally served, I was not hungry! 

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect in terms of music.  The American weddings that I've been to have typically had a DJ.  But the Polish wedding that I went to this summer had both traditional and current Polish/European music in addition to some popular American tunes that were played by a band.  I was curious to see what this music was going to be like, since we all know that the music totally "makes" the wedding.  Well, all was terrific when the band began to play.  I only recall 2-3 American songs that were played, the rest were Romanian.  I loved it!  We danced the whole night...so much that I actually had to run home to change my shoes, as my silver stilettos were killing my knees.  

The next time there's a Romanian wedding, I'm there!
