Nightmare

Last week I woke up in an ocean of sweat. I looked around my room and thanked God that my nightmare was just that, a nightmare. And before the dream floated it's way out of my brain, I tried to replay the whole damn ridiculous thing in my head. I will spare you the details, but I will use my summarizing skills and only highlight the important parts that you may find interesting enough to keep reading.

The Nightmare:

1. I went to see my mom and sister for Easter. (Okay, that's not the nightmare part.)
2. My drive was short, uneventful, but a little windy.
3. I had a great time.
4. On my way back, my "trusty" internal GPS skills made me make a wrong turn. I got lost.
5. I couldn't get in touch with my mom to get directions.
6. I realized that I wouldn't get back home in time for school.
7. I was going to be late for work! (I'm a teacher...this can't happen.)
8. It started to rain.
9. I was being followed by a creepy man on a scooter....
10. who decided to steal my only mode of transportation as I was making the phone call on a payphone to school to let them know I was going to be late.

The dream kind of ended there because I jerked my eyes open.

It doesn't sound so bad, right? But wait, it gets better.

My mode of transportation to and from the destination:

An electric scooter.

Oh yes, and I think I forgot to mention where I was going. How about here:

Point A to Point B: 586 miles.

Round trip: 1172 miles...on a flippin' scooter.

This week, as I make the real journey from Point A to Point B, I only wish for two things: 1. that I will not have to drive a scooter to NC. and 2. that I will not be followed by a creepy scooter riding old man.
