What changed? I went to the Banff Film Festival with a friend this past weekend. For all of you who are not familiar with Banff, it's a beautiful city in Canada.
Banff
They have a film festival, to which movie makers submit their short yet inspiring adventure films. For instance, at the festival we watched a movie about a cyclist who rode a bike from Alaska to the tip of Chile. A tandem bike, nonetheless, and people he met along the way would hop on and ride with him for a few minutes, hours or days. It took him two years, but he accomplished his goal.

I was inspired.

And it made me think...I've got to get up and do something. Even if it's something small. I have little time to work out each day. And when I come home from work, all I want to do is eat and relax. So, I decided to change my morning habits and go to the gym before work. Frankly, I can't believe I did it, actually. I would never consider myself to be a morning person. I would have never thought about getting up so early ever before. It's a small change, and nothing like cycling for 2 consecutive years. But, today, I'm pretty proud. And also pretty tired, as it is after 10pm and I've been up for almost 17 hours.

And speaking of INSPIRED.

It's my sister's birthday today. She's seventeen. Although she is 9.5 years my junior, she is the one person I can truly count on. She's creative, brilliant, and she has the most beautiful personality of anyone I know. She's always inspiring me to work harder, live happier and do more with my life.

Happy Birthday to my favorite sister!
(she might be my only sister, but don't tell her that)

Oh my goodness - I set my alarm early every day and still can't manage to get myself up. How did you convince yourself not to just sleep in when the alarm went off?

Wow, I'm really proud of you, Julia! You're right there are moments, it can be a book, a film or an article in the newspaper that can inspire us and change our habits.

haha, your typical morning (the first one) is the exact same as my typical morning. well, my showers are shorter, but i waste time having breakfast in front of the computer before blow drying my hair. and although to not rush for the metro i should leave between 7:55-8:00, I always run out the door at 8:07ish.

luckily i go to the gym in the afternoon, or i dont know how i'd do it!
