No, I'm actually more corny than fancy. But, shhhh! That's a secret.
Some time ago, fellow fabulous blogger and Pennsylvanian, Anna, presented me with the Stylish Blogger Award. Stylish! Moi?? Well, I strive to be that way, but my corny attitude sometimes interferes. Sometimes I blame it on teaching. If I weren't a second grade teacher, maybe I'd be a little cooler and less corny. Maybe my crazy enthusiasm would be replaced with a subdued calm. Maybe I'd have less to say. (!) Whatever the case, I am who I am...and I've been awarded. So, as the rules go, I must post some things about myself- my favorite topic. Here are four things that you may not know about me. Four only because I couldn't think of the fifth one.
1. I love to cook and take pictures of my food. HOWEVER, my obsession with food causes me to want to inhale what I have made seconds after it is done cooking. AND my obsession also causes me to slop said food recklessly on my plate because I want to eat, and could care less about what it looks like. See? Slop.
2. I despise socks. Hate them. I hate sliding around on our floor and hate the feeling that socks give me when they rub across the carpet. It's similar to nails scratching a chalkboard. Ewwww. I shudder. I actually hate socks so much that I don't wear them. Not even in the winter. Not with shoes or around the house. But don't get super grossed out, because I do wear them when I wear sneakers. And I brave recess duty in a pair of boots that I keep in my classroom.
3. Frequently a good dessert includes a cup of hot tea and lately, some girl scout cookies. Yay for Peanut Butter Patties!
4. For Saint Patrick's Day last year, I wore a shirt that I thought was funny. Apparently so did every other man/woman in the bar. Let's just say I was groped a little bit which made me want to turn my shirt inside out. It was one of my "What the heck was I thinking??" moments of which I am not proud.
Ha!

I have been busy eating GS Cookie ice cream, this week! bring on the delicious PB ones!
And I love socks. I am generally wearing them around the house, at all times.

I totally blame my corniness (and un-stylishness) on being an elementary school teacher... it's a blessing and a curse! haha

Ok, I'll tell you.
Because four years ago a lady at work came around with her daughters chart for all to order as many G.S.C as possible. I took it to a whole new level.
I bought 24 boxes of cookies.
Yes, for myself.
Yes, they didn't last me as long as you would think.
I went on a G.S.C diet for a good month or so. It was delicious. But ever since, I vowed to never buy another box. Now if someone offers me one, two or a box, then that's ok.
