Galilaaayyyco!

First, I'd like to say that I clearly had a break from blogging. It was spontaneous, as is my life, and included things like a 9 hour trip to NC, teaching a fish some tricks, a 9 hour trip back from NC and a summer job. More on these things later. But now I'm back and ready to do some writing.

Here goes:

I'm obsessed with this song by Taio Cruz: OBSESSED:

I don't know about you all, but me, when I want to learn the words to a song, I listen to it on repeat and hope for the best.

After my 9 hour drive back from NC, I came home and practically

screamed this song in the LG's ear. I just knew he would love it.

By that time, I had perfected the lyrics and my hand motions.

(Hand motions because in the car you can't really dance,

you just sway your arms and squirm around in your seat.)

Me: (doing the motions)

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes

Saying ay-oh, Galilayco!

I wanna celebrate and live my life

Saying ay-oh, baby let's go!

We gon' rock this club---

LG: (interrupting)

Wait! What's Galilayco?

Me:

You know, like Galileo. But he says Galilayco.

LG: (skeptically, with a squint of his eye)

Oh.

Me: (louder and more swaying)

Singing ay-oh, Galilayyyycooo!

Fast forward 3 days later. (By this time I have sung and listened to the

song 30 times.) I am looking for the video of Taio singing this song and stumble upon the good 'ole lyrics.

Turns out Galilayco is actually gotta let go.

Who'd have thunk that?

Galilayco sounds so much better.
