"That's being greedy,"

I tell my students when they ask for ANOTHER handful of pretzels during snack time.

(ummm, hello kids.. the rules are you bring your own snack. If I keep having to feed all of you, I am going to be in d-e-b-t. And d-e-b-t spells yourfabulousteacherwon'tbebuyingthegorgeousmarcjacobspurseshespottedatbloomingdales. And this means she's going to be unhappy. And when the teacher isn't happy, the kids aren't happy.Get it? Okay...moving on...)

But am I greedy to pray for another huge snowstorm tonight that will cause many districts to cancel school, including and especially the one for which I work?

I love my job. I do. It's pretty crazy like everyday. It makes me laugh everyday. And it makes me stressed everyday. And it's actually fun, everyday.

Are you sensing a but?

Yeah, me too.

BUT even though I have been off since WEDNESDAY (that's a total of 6 looong days) because of snow/President's day (just wanted to give a shout out to my favorite Prez..#16-Mr. Abe..), I still just want one more tiny day off. Just a little one. Like tomorrow. I just don't feel that I celebrated President's day well enough. 16 deserves better. So, I'd like a do-over.

Greedy or not, all I'm asking is for one more day.

Just one. please.

With some fresh strawberries and a dollop of Nutella on top? Please?
