Am I the only one?

Yesterday, I walked into F21, gift card in hand, feeling oh-so wealthy. Thanks to a Christmas gift last year, I had money to spend. I was feeling stylish yesterday, orange sweater, skinnies, and purple heels. Along with gold and purple feather earrings. My hair was looking fab; I was going on a shopping spree.

As soon as I walk through the doors of the mall, I notice that I am...dun dun duunnnnnn...

Hello!!?? Why did I not get the memo?

I didn't know I was supposed to be wearing leggings and THOSE!

96% of the shoppers were wearing them!

(Okay, she looks comfortable. But seriously. Where is the style in those boots?)

UGGS.

I was especially different- heels. Purple ones, nonetheless. I enjoy being different, it's true, but I kind of felt excluded. Especially since I don't own Uggs.

My winter shoe stash includes the OTK's, a few pairs of booties, fabulicious brown boots from Italy, black stilleto boots with buttons up the side, and mocassin type black boots that lace up (Gaston style from Beauty and the Beast). But no Uggs. Most of my shoes are uber comfy anyway, so I never felt the need to purchase those.

And I actually thought that UGGS were sooo 2007. Am I wrong? Personally, I think they lack any sort of style. And let me tell you a secret: They don't wear UGGS in Milan.

I don't have a pic of myself yesterday, but here is today's outfit, while I ran around the town. It's no Milan, but hey, I do live in PA.

I prefer this to Lohan's leggings and UGGS.

Still comfy, but a little more classy.

Will I give into the trend of UGGS? I highly doubt that you'll be seeing me in UGGS. Unless it gets bitterly cold outside and I find that I need a pair of warm boots for recess duty.

So, why is this such a trend over here? Is it just in good old Pennsylvania? Or is this a wide spread thing?
