Happy New Year and a Little Game of I-Spy

The LG and I went to Brooklyn Heights and welcomed the New Year on the Promenade in full view of the beautiful NYC skyline. Sounds snazzy, right? Haha, if you only knew! Although we couldn't really drop it like it was hot on New Years Eve, like the LG and I both like to do, we did have a romantically wonderful night.

My vision of the perfect New Years outfit was shot because of the location of our celebration. I was dressed up in a shimmery black dress, but you couldn't tell as we spent the night outside breathing in the cold New York air. My fabulous boots also did not make a debut outside of the car as the sidewalks were completely covered in snow. My turquoise Marc Jacobs cross-over bag was starting to look shabby after months of wear and made me look like a tourist...which I was.

And so, jackets pinching our chins, the LG dragged me down the streets of Brooklyn until we reached the Promenade, which is just a fancy word for: a long stretch of sidewalk where you can see Manhattan.

See?

As the clock struck 12 we popped the bubbly: a sad bottle of sparkling pear juice (the LG and I had to drive back to PA that night), and waited for something to happen. When nothing happened we guzzled down our bottle of juice (straight from the bottle...all classy-like) wishing we'd get caught by a cop. As if we were in high-school. "Hahaha...no it's not alcohol, it's juice! Mwwwwahahahah!"

And then, back to the car we went, stopping for some corny pictures along the way.

I spy with my little blue eyes something that is in every picture. Can you find it? It's pretty obvious.

Happy New Year!

xoxo

You guys sure love that bubbly! Hehehehe. I had the most amazing sparkling white wine on New Year's Eve. I loved it so much I went and bought myself 3 bottles (for future parties). It was a moscato sparkling white wine, brand was Gossip Lips. So sweet. Anyway, I hope you guys have a fab 2011.

that bottle of sparkling juice is awesome! i spy it too...that is what you're talking about, right?

even though you had to drive and even though the weather ruined your original outfit, i think you two look adorable! and in my opinion, it sounds like a perfect, easy going nye night.

Gotta love anything with bubbles! Is the bottle what we're supposed to be spying?
