Bright colors, crazy shoelaces, clear heels (yes, CLEAR...kinda prostitute-y, but hey! whatevs.) flip flops worn with polka dotted knee-hi socks. You name it, I've seen it. Hence, my new purchase: a pair of sparkly gym sneakers. At first glance, I thought they were slightly tacky. But I hate sneakers with a passion and didn't want to settle for a pair of huge white unattractive bricks. And also, I'm not your average girl. So, the average sneaker would just not do. My spin class was the perfect place to showcase my new kicks. They glittered slightly in the dim lighting. And they felt great. What can I say??? I'm in love.
They do not, however have special powers like first grade sneakers do:

- they do not make me run speedy quick around the playground.
- they do not have wheels.
- they do not have velcro to save time tying shoes.
But they do make me feel glam at the gym. And that's what's important.

your new sneakers are awesome!! sure there are no wheels in them... but i swear if anyone over the age of 15 wore those wheel shoes they would fall flat on their ass!!
Having sneakers like yours would MAKE me exercise just to show off :)
