RESOLUTION

That's been the buzz word lately. Rarely do I actually think of and decide on a New Year's resolution. That's probably because I never follow through and always wind up disappointing myself. One year I tried the, "I'm going to go to the gym 3 times per week" resolution and ended up disappointing myself the first week. I went 2 instead of three times. After that week, I gave up on the resolution...and then I gave up on the gym. Haha..

Last year, I decided to do something a bit different. I set 3 goals for myself of things that I desperately wanted/needed to do by the end of the year. 1.Go skydiving. 2.Get a tattoo. 3.This one is too inappropriate to write. (If you know me well enough, you know this one.) Well, looking back on 2008, I didn't get a tattoo. But 2 out of 3 really isn't that bad, right? And I definitely don't feel disappointed with myself. I actually am proud of what I've accomplished!

Anywhoo, 2008 is over. Now, I feel the need to set 3 new goals for myself. Over the past 6 days, I have been trying to find three things to do this year that will make me a more well-rounded person. As you'll notice by my list below, I'm having major trouble.

Here's my tentative list for 2009:
I have included comments on each one because, as I said, they're still being revised.

1. Become a neater person.
No, I don't mean "cooler." I have enough coolness in myself to aircondition South Africa. ::sigh:: By neater, I specifically am refering to my room. I need to be a regular cleaner, which I am not. I clean when I feel like it, or when someone mentions the condition my room is in. I can already see the look of disgust on all of your faces. It's actually not THAT bad. I just need to learn how to put things away.em>

2. Take pole-dancing classes with Megan.
I'm keeping this one on my list, definitely. After backpacking through Europe together, Megan and I decided to do something together each year. Last year it was skydiving. This year, it's a little more safe.

3. Finish and sell the house that Florian and I are renovating.

4. Develop really fine lookin' abs.
This requires going to the gym. But, since I became a proud member two days ago, I think this is a solid goal. And, quite frankly, I think my bf will appreciate and benefit from this as well.

I added a fourth item because numero tres should probably be accomplished by spring time, so I didn't think that would be a fair one to include.

So these are my resolutions, for now. We'll see what I accomplish. But things are already looking good for #4 because I'll be off to the gym as soon as I finish typing this!
