So Fresh and So Clean

Ever made a purchase that you regret buying but cannot return the product? Today, this happened to me. Just don't laugh at my quirkiness. (Is that how you spell the word?)

Yesterday, I ran out of laundry detergent. I have been using the same brand for over a year and it had always cleaned my clothes very nicely. It's called BioKleen and it's really good for the environment and all that jazz. But, as wonderful as it is, I always think about how nice it would be to use some great smelling detergent, as mine was non-scented. My bf's clothes always smell very intoxicatingly clean because of his detergent. But my clothes don't have a smell. You cannot even smell my lavender, all-natural, dryer sachets. Secretly, I always wanted my clothes to have a clean detergenty scent.

So alas, I go to Giant and look at the all-natural section. However, after smelling the detergents, I am convinced that I have to use a different product this time. So, I wander over to the cleaning supply aisle and pick up SURF (which I guess is like ALL) and Snuggle brand dryer sheets.

And believe it or not, I run home to do the laundry. As I'm pouring in the detergent, I sneeze, as I'm not used to the powerful smell. Well after two loads, I can smell the laundry from the vent in my room, which connects to the basement. The smell has now permeated through my room and reached it's way up to my nostrils. I am also experiencing what I think is the onset of a headache from the strong scent of clean laundry. And I'm wondering, "How in the world will I be able to wear these clothes without having it interfere with my perfume?" Or even better, "Will I be able to wear my just-washed clothes and not be appalled by the smell?"

Now I'm not sure what to do! I should have just purchased the same detergent and the same dryer sachets. Anyone interested in buying some detergent??
