So, I haven't blogged lately. It's not that I don't have anything to blog about-it's just the opposite. I have so much to say and so much has happened since my latest entry that I have a hard time picking and choosing what to write about. That's what happens to me when I'm presented with too many choices...I choke.
So I'm going to begin slowly...
My mom and sister came for Thanksgiving a few weeks early. They flew up from NC to eat the first turkey ever cooked by yours truly. I borrowed a turkey fryer from my friend Kelly and fried the heck out of the turkey in the kitchen. After doing so, for the next few weeks I heard about turkey fryer horror stories. Houses being burned down, people being set on fire. And many warnings were issued about frying a turkey in the house. Oh well...it worked for me!
I began working on and then made settlement on my house that I'm flipping!!! I know it sounds backwards to work on a house and then settle, but the former owner was just grand and gave us the keys prior to closing. Anyway, my after school activities for the past week have included stripping wallpaper and well, stripping wallpaper. Not to bore you or anything, but the wall paper I stripped from the living room today was put up in 1919. Crazy, right??
Today was a triumphant day in the history of my relationship with the bf. I met his mother! Haha! She flew in from Romania yesterday and will be here for the next few weeks. My Romanian has not improved in the last few months and so I was speaking to her in English while the love guru was translating. Not being able to communicate with her very well has inspired me to continue learning the language. Don't worry , I'll keep you updated on my progress.
