Sometimes you need to take risks...

So, this week, I bought a house.

That's right- not a pair of designer shoes, or fabulous clothes-a house.

But if you know me, you know that "full price" is not a phrase that I utter willingly. That being said, with my financial guru by my side (Florian), we bid on a decent-sized rowhome, and left the auction with a house. Together, our plan is to fix it up quickly and sell it for more than we paid (obviously). This is my first 'flip.' So, we'll see how it goes.

I know what you're thinking: How did all of this begin, right?

Well, really, it all started with an obsession-watching Season 1 of Flip This House a few years ago. The one with Ginger in it. She was the pretty girl with the Mercedes and little dog that fit in her purse. She was the one that bought the houses and oversaw many of the projects. She was my inspiration. Since then, I always thought about flipping a house, but I never thought it would happen.

Here's the Trademark Properties gang. Ginger is the one on the bottom right.

Then, into my life comes the self-proclaimed love/financial guru, who has consistently persuaded me to pursue this dream.

Yes, this is him. He might not look like a guru, but just trust me on this one...he is.

And so, now I have a house. And now I need to wait for settlement so that we can start working on it. And soon, my dream will become a reality.

Stay tuned...I'm sure I'll have pictures of this house eventually.
