Where do I begin?

So, I haven't blogged in awhile. I am aware of this, especially since my friend Missy has gently brought it to my attention. Is it that I just don't have anything to write about? ABSOLUTELY NOT. That's just the point; I have so much to write that I don't know where to begin! Do I begin with my trip to Poland? Do I write about the stress I endured at work since I have come back from my mini-vacay? Do I write about my silly Saturday night with two of my friends? My Sunday with Michelle? Or do I begin with the hilarious scenarios that take place in my classroom each day?

I guess I should start at the beginning...I don't want to leave you hanging about my cousin's wedding in Poland. Let me start by recapping the two-day event.

1. We drove to the church, which was located on a mountain. It was a small chapel that really didn't hold many people. And if you know me, you'll know that we were late to the church, so we had to stand. The intricacy of the woodwork inside the little chapel was pretty amazing. This chapel was very quaint and charming. The actual ceremony was just like any other Catholic ceremony that you may or may not have attended, except it was all in Polish.

2. After the couple was pronounced "husband and wife" we exited the church and waited for them to come out. All of the guests were there holding beautiful bouquets of flowers for the bride and congratulating the couple.

3. Everyone got into their cars and waited for the bride and groom to get into their own car. The couple drove out in front of us, and all of the guests drove behind, honking the entire way to the reception site. I think this was one of my favorite parts of the wedding. Friends, please expect this at my wedding one day.

4. We got to the Inn, where the reception was about to take place, and watched the bride and groom enter first. We followed and watched them dance their first dance.

5. Immediately following the dance, we were guided to our tables and pretty much forced to eat. Well, not really forced, but I felt like I had to eat quickly. Food was being brought out left and right and I thought that if I didn't eat quickly, it would all be gone. Little did I know that food was being served to us until 4am, with a constant exchange of new silverware/plates and a consistent addition of different entrees and desserts. I have never in my life been at a wedding with this much food. And man, it was GOOD.

6. Instead of tossing the bouquet, at this wedding, the bride tossed her veil. And it was caught by, none other than, yours truly.

7. The 3-man band played music until 4am, so of course, I danced until THEY left.

8. I awoke to the sound of my dad's chipper voice at 11am yelling that it was time for me to get up and get dressed for breakfast which was being served. I sluggishly walked down the stairs only to find almost all of last night's guests, some dressed up, others not, eating even MORE food. And while we ate, the band sung until their voices got raspy. So, naturally we all had to help them out, and join in on the singing and dancing...again. We finally left at 6pm!

When I get married, here's what you can expect:
- a procession of honking cars leading to the reception
- loads of food
- dancing until the wee hours of morning
- a two-day event
